12/15/2022 The Chicago Computer Society - Remote

Last night I did a presentation for the members of this Chicago Club
I last remotely visited this club back in October for Cyber Security Awareness Month.
Last nights presentation was all about the many tools that are part of Ccleaner.
Most of those tools never get used by those that use Ccleaner only to clean junk
from their systems. We also covered quite a few other topics via videos from
my YouTube channel. I spent a very enjoyable two plus hours doing the presentation
and answering many questions along the way.

Bob G's presentation was well received and sparked interest even from a Mac user attending the meeting that changed from Windows due to the increased security and privacy issues scaring and concerning him. Perhaps that person changed their mind. I think some of the scared feelings and concerns are due to the media's overall hype and exaggerations to get more attention which turns some people off and they don't hear and thus don't take proactive measures to increase their security and privacy to their own detriment.

Even with my own experience, I picked up a lot of tips to increase my utilization of features of CCleaner I had not found before. This is true in almost all Zoom meetings I attend. Most people install software for a reason but do a little exploration of the software features that may not be activated they may want. Bob's review of tools and features in CCleaner shows such an example. Bob also presented more security info many don't know about sparking questions from several attendees. Bob G. had been the presenter in October (Cybersecurity month) and he did a great job informing the members that attended about security issues they didn't know about to try to be more proactive in their security and privacy.

Any group that needs a well-organized presenter should include Bob G. and try to get a presentation also in October as the Cybersecurity threats change and evolve every year.

Bob G. is also a member of APCUG and Tech for Sensors presenting info weekly on Cybersecurity issues and occationally other topics as well.
