  This afternoon I remotely visited with the members  of  this club . This was a hybrid meeting since some of the club members have returned to the Prescott Library and others joined via Zoom. After the presentation I had some questions on the differences between the free version of  Avast  and  Avast One . There was also a discussion on smartphone backup.

We ended the show with a Q&A session and had quite a few questions on the HP Instant Ink service and porting ZOOM to a TV.

4-7-2022 Sun City Summerlin Computer Club, CA - Remote

  This afternoon I was happy to do my presentation for the members of Sun City Summerlin . This was a hybrid meeting with some members attending via Zoom and some members attended in person. During the Q&A session that followed the presentation, we had a discussion about the upcoming Norton/LifeLock and Avast merger that I believe satisfied those that had an adverse feeling about the merger. We also spent some time talking about a phishing scam someone received asking them to renew their Avast product even though they were not (yet) an  Avast  customer.

We had special guests today. Chris and Jim Guld from  GeeksOnTour who are usually part of the attendees. Today they were the stars of the show and Chris used her expertise as a recognized  Google Photo Expert  to share some of her tips with our audience.  We also covered the following topics, Cybersecurity News update, USB4 – What is It and What’s New?,  Mute audio in the Chrome Browser via Tab Audio Mute Control .  The last segment was a musical tribute to April Fools Day which was followed by the Q&A session which was pretty much reserved to Chris and Jim Guld's presentation . We always stream the show to YouTube and that overflow area was well attended today.

Your Phone App is now Phone Link

To make the change open the Your Phone App and select update to do the conversion to the Phone Link App. It's the same app just updated to the Windows 11 feel and look.
