Get ready, tech fans! Google's "Made by Google" event on August 20, 2025, is shaping up to be a big one. 

The word on the street is that the Pixel 10 series isn't just another small upgrade; it's Google showing off what it can really do. We're talking about a lineup that includes the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the much-anticipated Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

If you thought Pixels were just for snapping awesome photos, prepare to be surprised! Google is pulling out all the stops this year.

✅What We're Pretty Sure About (The Solid Stuff)

Launch Day is Set! Mark your calendar for August 20, 2025. Pre-orders should kick off right away, with phones likely landing in your hands around August 28-30.

Tensor G5 Chip - A Powerhouse in the Making. This is a huge deal! The Tensor G5 is Google's brain for these phones, and it's being made by TSMC using a super-efficient 3nm process. This change from Samsung (who made previous Tensor chips) means we should see big improvements in:

Speed - Apps should fly and games will be smoother than ever.

Battery Life - The chip is designed to be more power-efficient, meaning your phone could last longer on a single charge.

AI Smarts - This is where Google truly shines! Expect even more incredible on-device AI features for everything from photos to daily tasks. Plus, the G5 is rumored to have a fully custom Image Signal Processor (ISP) for even better camera performance, and a new IMG DXT GPU for better graphics.

Memory & Storage:

Pro Models (Pixel 10 Pro, Pro XL, Pro Fold) - Get ready for serious multitasking with 16GB of RAM and storage options going all the way up to a massive 1TB. That's a lot of space for your photos, videos, and apps!

Base Pixel 10 - This model will likely come with 128GB or 256GB of storage, which is still plenty for most folks - It's also rumored to have 12GB of RAM, a slight bump from previous base models.

📸Pixel 10 Pro Fold - The Star of the Show!

This foldable is generating a lot of buzz for some very good reasons:

IP68 Dust & Water Resistance - This is a game-changer for foldable phones! It means the Pixel 10 Pro Fold can handle dust and even full submersion in water, making it much more durable than most other foldables out there. No more babying your fancy foldable!

Stunning Displays:

Cover Screen - A bright 6.4-inch OLED display. Some rumors suggest it's a tiny bit bigger than the previous model thanks to smaller edges.

Inner Screen - A spacious 8-inch inner OLED. Both screens will boast a super-smooth 120Hz refresh rate and an incredible peak brightness of 3,000 nits, making them easy to see even in bright sunlight.

Battery & Charging - It's getting a bigger battery! A 5,015mAh battery is expected, which is about 7% larger than its predecessor - You'll also get 23W wired charging and 15W Qi2 wireless charging.

Cameras - While the hardware appears similar to last year's Pixel Fold with a 48MP main lens, 10.5MP ultrawide, and a 10.8MP 5x telephoto lens, the Tensor G5's enhanced image processing (especially with that new custom ISP) means you should still see noticeable improvements in photo quality and new AI photography features. Plus, there are twin 10MP selfie cameras (one on the cover, one inside).

Price - Expect it to be in the premium range (That's fancy for expensive), rumored to be between US1,599–US1,899 (around €1,899 estimated in Europe).

🔧Other Models - Pixel 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro XL

These models are also getting some exciting upgrades:

Refreshed Design - Leaked prototypes hint at a sleeker look with flat edges and rounded corners, evolving the design from last year - The camera bump is expected to be a tri-camera setup for all models!

Display & Performance:

Pixel 10 - Around a 6.3-inch OLED with a 120Hz refresh rate - It will get a big boost in graphics and AI thanks to the new Tensor G5.

Pixel 10 Pro XL - This big boy will feature a larger ~6.8-inch display with even better brightness and possibly improved PWM dimming (which makes the screen easier on your eyes in low light).

Cameras - A Big Change for the Base Model!

For the Pixel 10 (base model), this is a huge step up! It's finally getting a triple-lens camera setup, including a main, ultrawide, and a 10.8MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom - This is the first time a non-Pro Pixel will have a dedicated telephoto lens.

Pro and Pro XL - These are expected to stick with similar camera hardware for their predecessors (a 50MP main sensor, 48MP ultrawide, and 48MP telephoto with 5x optical zoom), but the Tensor G5's advanced processing will bring big software improvements and new AI features.

Important Note for Pixel 10 (Base Model) Cameras - While the Pixel 10 is gaining a telephoto lens, some rumors suggest the main and ultrawide sensors might be slightly different or smaller than the Pixel 9's to accommodate the new lens - However, Google's software magic often makes up for hardware differences, so we'll have to see how it performs in real-world testing.

Video Overhaul - The Tensor G5 is expected to unlock some truly amazing video capabilities. Think 4K HDR at 60 frames per second (fps) and nearly gimbal-level stabilization right from your phone – no extra gear needed - Plus, expect powerful in-phone AI video editing tools.

Wireless Charging and Biometrics - Qi2 wireless charging support is expected across the board, which offers faster and more efficient wireless charging. Rumors also point to smarter ultrasonic fingerprint sensors for quicker and more reliable unlocking.

🤔What's Still a Bit of a Guess (But Makes Sense!)

Price Cuts Incoming - There are whispers of slight price cuts for the U.S. market, which could be awesome! European pricing, however, seems to be holding steady (around €899 for the base Pixel 10, €1,099–€1,329 for Pro models, and €1,899+ for the Fold).

Action Button - Like Apple's latest iPhones, a customizable physical shortcut button is rumored - This would be a neat addition for quick access to your favorite features.

Color Splash & Accessories - Get ready for some bold new color options - We're also hoping for MagSafe-style Qi2 magnets for easy accessory attachment and perhaps even some cool Pixel Watch bundles.
